Based in the Cleveland, Ohio area, Moving Memories owner Gail Spiro has been photographing children for over 20 years. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from The Cleveland Institute of Art, majoring in Graphic Design & Photography and specializing in Multimedia Productions. Recently, she created a series of beautiful video slideshows in honor of her twin sons’ graduation. She enjoyed this process so much, and the results had a such a strong emotional impact on her own family, that she decided to pursue this venue for other families. Gail now combines these video slideshows along with her own beautiful photography to transform your memories into Moving Memories.

Unlike most slideshow companies, Moving Memories will work with you every step of the way – ensuring a final product that is the most meaningful to you. We'll sit down with you and help you plan your show. You can have as much control as you want – after all, who knows what’s important to you as well as you do? Together, we’ll choose your materials and organize titles, chapters and music. You can view work-in-progress and make changes as we go. Or, if the idea of spending time and making decisions overwhelms you, we’ll sort through your materials and create a sensitive show without your worry. Either way, your favorite memories will be consolidated onto a DVD.

All Slideshows begin with a personal consultation and include frequent communication between Gail and her clients. Slideshows include professional photo scanning and retouching. Normal retouching includes red-eye correction, color restoration, removal of blemishes, and cropping. Extra charges may be needed to restore severely damaged photos. There are limits to restoration, and while we do sharpen pictures, we cannot re-focus an out of focus image! Slideshows have Opening titles, Captions if desired, and Ending Credits that you choose. If your slideshow has more than one chapter, there will also be a custom menu on the DVD. Transitions between images are artistically applied, and effects such as pans and zooms are added. The music and soundtracks are carefully edited, and timed to coordinate with the images. All DVD’s include custom designed labels and hard cases. You will also receive a CD with all your scanned, corrected images.

While most slideshows are predominantly photographs, we can include so much more ... the sky’s the limit! While her Photography Services are limited to the Greater Cleveland area, Gail is happy to accommodate Slideshow orders from anywhere in the world! Materials can be e-mailed and snail mailed, and will then be returned safely with the finished product. Free phone consultations and on-line previews guarantee a finished product that is custom tailored for your needs. Instructions for “Long-Distance” Slideshows: Call or e-mail Gail Spiro at Moving Memories. Together we will make some basic decisions about what type of show you envision. We need to decide on music selections, captions, titles, etc. Don’t worry if you’re not ready to decide everything right away. We can make some decisions later. Gather your materials. Sort through your Photos, Videos, and Memorabilia. Remember that you are not limited to photos! We can scan any 2-dimensional item. Invitations, Birth Announcements, Ultrasound Images, etc. add interest to any show. Choose your photos carefully. While we will make every attempt to restore, improve, and clean-up your photos, there is a limit to what we can do. If an image is out of focus, it will remain out of focus. We can also include soundtracks or narrations (such as voice-overs and tapes of children singing, etc.) Label Your Materials. If you would like to control the order, label images with sticky notes and (if appropriate) sort images by chapter into envelopes. Digital photos can be sent via CD, or as e-mail attachments. If desired, re-name your files to include the running order. If you are using DVD’s, VHS Tapes, or other Video Media, you can describe the segments that you want to use and, if possible, suggest a rough timeline. Mail your materials.
